Meet Dr.Daniel
Dr. Daniel Odekina is a public health specialist with 25years of experience in reproductive health, primary health care, child survival, community health services, program management, training, operational research, and clinical service delivery. Dr. Daniel is currently the Primary Health Coordinator of Egor Local Government. In this position, he is primarily responsible for coordinating technical aspects of Clinical Health programs in the area, including the prevention and control of STI/HIV/AIDS with other , and for overseeing program implementation. Working in partnership with the Country Representative, he is involved in management decisions and directions, and represents the organization on numerous technical committees organized by the MOH, and donor organizations.In different occasions he served as an expert in global discussions for FP/HIV integration, community based family planning, long acting family planning and adolescent issues.
He bagged his PhD at (Walden Univ., Mn, USA); PGPN at (Boston University School of Medicine), EIIGHR at (Harvard University School of Public Health, Massachusetts, USA), MSc- ESD at (UCL, UK); DTM&H at (LSHTM, Univ. of London); MPH at (Uniben); MHPH at Uniben); MBBS at (ABU, Zaria).
Other Institutions Attended: School of Basic Studies, Ugbokolo, GSS Dekina, and Akpanya Primary School / St Boniface Primary School, Idah.
He has contributed immensely, worked with the Edo State Government Health Department and offered his medical professionalism with the United Nation , UN-TEEB, Bonn in Germany, and as well Positive East in London. He is a member of Medical Officers of Nigeria, AMOHN, American Public Health Association, APHA.
He is highly recognized as a member Golden Key, in U.S.A, Reviewer of Submitted Abstracts on Epidemiology Topics by the APHA, Member Technical Advisory Committee of the UNFPA, Edo State.
He had his medical training at CDC/American Evaluation Association Summer Evaluation Institute, Atlanta, Georgia; African Medical Research and Foundation, AMREF, INSTITUTE of Strategic Management of Nigeria, Institute of Stores Management.

How will i have to wait before been seen?
Waiting times depend on how many people are ahead of you in the queue. This can vary throughout the day.
Do you stitch or suture wounds?
Yes, Dr daniel stitch or suture wounds depending on the size, depth and location of the wound.
Can you prescribe Medications?
Dr. Daniel can supply some medications. Nurses are unable to change any medication prescribed by doctor and cannot provide medications for chronic health conditions.
Can you order Xrays?
Nurses at the health Centre may order X-rays for limbs, toes, knees, ankles, wrists and elbows if required. Nurses are currently unable to order X-rays of the chest, spine, abdomen, hip, head or shoulders.
You can access X-rays via outpatient medical imaging at either Canberra Hospital or Calvary Health Care ACT between 8.30am and 4pm on Monday to Friday.
